Adopt A Single Parent Family for Christmas
Christmas is just around the corner and we are making plans to help Single Parent Families. Currently we have approximately 30 families that could use some help with Christmas for their children. Last year we we’re able to provide Christmas for 82 children.
Here’s how it works:
- Families sign up and give us sizes and toy wishes for their children. They are then adopted by someone.
- There is a limit of $50.00 per child spent on each child and purchasing for the parent is optional. If a gift is purchased for the parent there is a $25.00 limit. Gifts are purchased by the adopting family and brought to FreshStart and dropped off for parents to pick up. The parent will wrap the gifts for the children. The idea is to help the parent provide for their child so the gifts will come from the parent. Adopting families will not know the name of the single parent family nor will the Single Parent know who has adopted their family.
- No cash or gift cards please.
If you would like to participate in the Christmas Gift Program, by adopting a family please contact our office at 615-822-6772 no later than November 10th. As an adopting family, you will deliver gifts to FreshStart Resources between December 5th -9th.
